Hello, my name is Deedee Olson and I am the owner of Hill Farm Candle Company located in Two Harbors, Minnesota. I am currently a home-based business making small-batch hand-poured natural coconut wax candles.

I have always loved candles and have purchased many hand-poured candles over the years. I decided to learn the art of candle-making and set out to make the best and cleanest candle possible.

What sets my candles apart?

From top to bottom these candles are made with the mission of sustainability. 

THE WAX: A natural coconut wax made from food-grade certified coconut oil with apricot and soy. This wax is amongst the first sustainable wax alternative to hit the market. It is non-GMO, plant-derived, sustainable, biodegradable, cruelty-free, and free of parabens and sulfates.

THE WICK: A top-selling eco-friendly cotton wick, coated with clean-burning natural wax and is lead and zinc free.

THE FRAGRANCES: We use top-quality candle fragrances. They are Prop 65 compliant, and cruelty, phthalate, and petroleum free.

THE CONTAINER: 100% recycled glass. When the candle is finished burning, I encourage you to reuse it by popping off the wick held in place with a dab of hot glue. It is easy to scrape off the excess wax and wash the container with soap and water.

THE COVER: Coconut wax is softer than your average candle wax and therefore, needs a gentle dust cover. While I originally used cork tops for the candles, I wondered if there was a more ecological solution. Now, each wooden top is handmade by my husband, with remnants of trees from our tree farm and sawmill.

  • RETURNS & EXCHANGES

    Due to the nature of our products, used candles cannot be returned or refunded. However, we will replace or refund products damaged during shipment if photographic proof is submitted to Hill Farm Candle Company within 7 days of delivery.

    You may also exchange your unused product of the same size and price within 14 days of purchase. The buyer is responsible for shipping costs on all returned items.

    In the event that the package is damaged during shipping, you may return your unused candle(s) for a full refund of your purchase price, less shipping costs within 14 days of delivery. Please contact us at hillfarmsoapandcandlecompany.com for further details.

    If placing an order for over 10 candles, please allow for an additional 10 shipping days.

  • I do not offer refills at this time; however, in an effort to promote as much sustainability as I can, I will purchase the glass container back from you for $1 when you are finished enjoying it.
